Tooth & Gum Contouring

It refers to dental treatment that changes the shape of individual or all teeth to create a highly refined smile line. Also, through laminate tooth contouring that simply adjusts the teeth so the corners do not look dark when smiling, you can complete a brighter, clearer smile.

If the gum color is dark or blackish, gum depigmentation can renew it into pretty, healthy gums.

Tooth Contouring

Cosmetic contouring

Tooth contouring is a treatment that, for esthetic reasons, reshapes teeth with an uneven smile line into a more beautiful and refined smile line through dental care.

With minimal reduction of natural teeth and ceramic prosthetics closest to natural teeth, you can have a bright, beautiful smile. At OAKS Dental we also help you achieve a bright smile and healthy teeth through laminate and clear aligners.

Gum Line Contouring

What is gum line contouring?

If the gums are puffy or cover much of the teeth, the smile can look heavy. In such cases it is a procedure that slims the gums or reshapes the gum line where gums and teeth meet so more of the teeth show.

Sometimes the teeth are well aligned but the gums are asymmetric and look crooked, or too much gum shows when smiling — gum contouring is performed in these cases too. For gum contouring, the inner size is set based on the gum and lip line, and because the bone position is assessed according to this tooth size, the technique may vary.

  4. 4 When gums recede, exposing tooth roots and making teeth look too long

Gum Depigmentation

Gum depigmentation is performed when the gums look black due to heavy melanin pigment or when the surface is rough.

If the gums are dark and dull, even neat, white teeth struggle to look clean. Gum depigmentation restores healthy pink gums for a beautiful smile.

At OAKS Dental, using a water-droplet (Er) laser, gum surgery is possible with simple surface anesthesia or no anesthesia at all. As there is no bleeding or swelling afterward, you can return to daily life right away.
